STEM-HD is a Specific Targeted Research Project (STREP) funded by the European Commission within its FP6 Programme under the thematic area "Life Sciences, genomics and biotechnology for health", contract number LSHB-CT-2006-037349.

STEM-HD, a three year research programme, aims to make major contributions to the understanding of the molecular mechanisms of Huntington’s disease as a necessary step towards a cure.
